This is a project that we just completed it took us several weeks. I Gave a detailed account of what we did and if you read it you will understand why.

We are doing a total makeover of this summer camp on the lake. ,this place was used solely as a summer camp for the past 50 years. Now the owners want to retire there so they want to make it there permanent residence. we have jacked and leveled the entire place, the sona tubes that it was sitting on were all deteriorated so we had to pour a footer and build a kneewall all the way around.we tore out all the 2x4 walls with no insulation and rebuilt with 2x6 studs. Put all new windows and doors, put a 12 x 32 addition on the back. Tore off the existing roof and rebuilt so I he back wall of the addition carried the back roof it is still a work in progress but the owners are very happy and we should complete it in a couple of weeks. I will give updates of the progress

Last week was very productive!!

Last week was a very productive week. Where as we accomplished a lot. First of all, we framed A 32 by 12 deck out front and we're waiting for hand Rail materials. We stripped the Metal and boards from the roof as well as removed old rafters and replaced with 2 piece rafters, we started Gable. And framing and sheathing .

And we also built a supporting wall. That supports the 2 piece rafter system.

We completed wall renovations and installed All first floor windows. we demoed all the walls and ceilings on the 2nd floor. we had a pretty busy week.and the project is starting to shape up

.Well, it's Friday our portion of the project

is wrapped up for a while, the customer's weather tight and ready for the roofer, plumber and electrician. we'll have to come back in a couple of weeks and build a screen porch and the customer's also. Thinking about adding a dormer in the front of the house and putting in a stained glass window. The job went well with no problems. And on budget., The customer is very happy and the job went smoothly and on schedule

Well the customer decided that they wanted to move forward without adding a dormer and also building a screen house and It went very well and there was a lot of excitement caused by the steam glass window that we built around the doorwayIt went very well and there was a lot of excitement caused by the stainglass window that we built around the dormer. The customer decided that they wanted the dormer to be round the same shape as the stained glass window. It really turned out kind of nice. I have added pictures.

The customer also decided that you were gonna go with a post and beam. Look for the screen porch and a really nice design on the floor it was all rough cut lumber and we plained it ourselves.
