Seeking a full-time male private caregiver for an adult with muscular dystrophy in Wellington, Florida.

This is a long-term private-duty position offering strong compensation, a furnished private apartment, and stability in a professional household. The role combines hands-on personal care, driving, travel, hospitality, household and studio assistance, and practical help with everyday tasks and equipment.

This is not a standard 9-to-5 position or an entry-level caregiving job. The ideal applicant is an experienced, service-oriented professional who is physically capable, dependable, discreet, comfortable working late at night, and interested in making a minimum three-year commitment.

Applicants must be fully comfortable working in an LGBTQ household environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- Starting salary of $80,000 per year.

SCHEDULE

- Rotating 2-2-5-5 schedule shared between two caregivers.

- Includes daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage.

- The client maintains a very late schedule and is often awake until approximately 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.

- Applicants must be natural night people who can remain awake, attentive, patient, and available for assistance during late-night hours.

- This is active overnight coverage, not a traditional sleeping overnight position.

- There may be downtime during a shift, but uninterrupted sleep while on duty should not be expected.

- Some work blocks require remaining at the home for the full duration, particularly on weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Meaningful paid professional experience in caregiving, home health, private-duty care, rehabilitation, hospital or outpatient support, CNA/HHA-type work, or a similar hands-on service role.

- Experience providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and close physical assistance.

- Physically capable of handling the daily demands of hands-on care and assistance.

- Proactive, attentive, organized, and willing to help without needing constant direction.

- Able to learn routine procedures by demonstration and repeat them accurately.

- Comfortable remaining awake and functioning well until approximately 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.

- Comfortable with travel, including flying and occasional international travel.

- Comfortable around friendly household dogs and a bird.

- Excellent personal hygiene, a clean and polished appearance, and strong professional boundaries.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Able to make this position a serious primary professional commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers.

- Serving as the client's physical hands when assistance is needed with personal, household, technology, studio, or project-related tasks.

- Moving, positioning, carrying, organizing, or setting up items and equipment.

- Plugging in, adjusting, attaching, assembling, or relocating devices, tools, and supplies.

- Learning and accurately repeating routine tasks after being shown how they are completed.

- Keeping the client's personal, working, and living areas tidy, organized, and well stocked.

- Assisting with appointments, errands, outings, social activities, and travel.

- Driving the client's vehicle as needed.

- Providing basic technology and administrative support using phones, email, apps, printers, and household or studio equipment.

- Providing basic care for friendly household dogs and a bird.

- Remaining alert, available, and responsive during late-night and overnight hours.

PLEASE NOTE

- This is not an entry-level position.

- Family-only caregiving experience is generally not sufficient unless paired with meaningful paid professional experience.

- Applicants must already understand the realities of hands-on personal care and extended-shift work.

- This role is not appropriate for someone who requires a predictable 9-to-5 schedule or uninterrupted sleep every night.

- Minimum three-year contractual commitment expected.

- Non-smoker only.

- No alcohol while on duty or on the premises.

- Must be willing to sign an NDA and maintain strict privacy and confidentiality.
