Part Time Dental Assistant - healthcare - job employment

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team 2–3 days per week. Our office has one dentist and one hygienist. We are seeking someone who is organized, proactive, and is dependable, self motivated for a patient-focused environment with excellent customer service.

------Responsibilities------

* Sterilize, package, and organize dental instruments following OSHA and infection control protocols.

* Float between the clinical area and front desk to support the team wherever needed.

* Take high-quality digital dental X-rays, including assisting with hygiene appointments (approximately 6–7 hygiene patients per day).

* Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment and thoroughly disinfect and reset operatories afterward.

* Restock supplies, gloves, and treatment rooms throughout the day.

* Assist the doctor during restorative and cosmetic procedures as needed.

* Schedule patient appointments and help manage the daily schedule.

* Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general questions.

* Upload radiographs and clinical photos, organize lab cases, and maintain accurate records.

* Perform opening and closing duties, including equipment preparation, sterilization, and office organization.

* Assist with weekly inventory, supply orders, and routine office maintenance tasks.

* Work closely with the entire team and always be willing to ask, **"What can I help with?"**

------Qualifications------

* Dental assisting experience.

* Ability to take high-quality diagnostic digital radiographs.

* Experience scheduling appointments and answering phones.

* Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

* Ability to multitask efficiently in both the clinical and front office settings.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to recognize what needs to be done without constant direction

* Takes ownership of responsibilities, follows through on tasks, and works independently while remaining a strong team player.

* Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing outstanding patient care.
