About The Company
The company is a New York-based trading firm. We are a market maker in certain derivatives markets, including binary options. We're small, profitable, and move fast.
Right now, the company is a small team of only traders. Many corporate functions that company needs to operate smoothly, like contracts, filings, payroll, office supplies, events, banking, are all currently being handled by the founders, while they’re also trying to trade and manage the company’s development, research, and other strategic priorities.
The Role
The goal of the Business Operations Manager is to take over some of the administrative functions from the founders. This is a generalist role in which project management and contract compliance are important. As the company builds out relationships with trading venues, counterparties, and vendors, we need someone to build the systems that keep all of it organized, on time. Beyond that, you'll dip into HR, legal, admin, office logistics, a little finance, and direct support to the founders.
This is a high-trust seat with a front-row view of how a trading firm actually runs. Priorities change frequently. Things move fast. Tomorrow’s role definition may be a little different than today’s.
What You'll Do
Project management: Own cross-functional projects end to end — from "someone should really set up a system for this" to "it's done and working"
Contract compliance: Build and run the systems that track our contractual relationships with trading venues, counterparties, and service providers — deadlines, renewals, deliverables.
Legal & compliance admin: Keep corporate filings and compliance deadlines on track, working alongside outside counsel and tax advisers
People ops: Handle payroll, benefits, and onboarding so new hires feel welcome and this aspect runs smoothly.
Office & vendor management: Keep the lights on, the vendors managed, and the office running well.
Light finance coordination: Help with bill pay, reimbursements, and staying in sync with our accounting and tax teams
Executive support: Be a true right hand to the founders — scheduling, research, and closing the loop on the priorities that arise
Qualifications
Accomplished: At least a couple of years in a high-ownership, fast-moving role. This could be in a startup or in a law firm or in the military. We are open to multiple profiles, but we’re looking for someone highly accomplished.
Easy: relaxed personality. Someone fun to be around who gets along well with the team.
Organized: Sharp organizational instincts and a genuine eye for detail. You organize things and build systems. Handed a situation with no process, your enjoy creating it.
Owner: High ownership, low ego, strong bias to action — you don't need much supervision to get things done right
Comfortable: running a big project and doing the unglamorous admin work that keeps a small company alive
Experience: managing contracts, vendors, or compliance processes for startups.
Logistics
Location: New York, NY (Tribeca) — hybrid, mostly in the office
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
