Front of House Associate - Tailor Shop - customer service - job employment

We are a small, family-owned tailoring business with two locations in Red Bank, NJ and Midtown Manhattan. While we’re a close-knit small business, our Midtown location is a busy, high-traffic shop, and we’re looking for a reliable, personable, and adaptable individual to join our front-of-house team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable taking initiative. Because we are a growing business, we’re especially interested in someone who is open-minded, flexible, and willing to introduce new ideas and systems that can help improve the day-to-day flow of the shop.

Responsibilities

* Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service

* Assist customers with checking garments in and out

* Answer phones, emails, and general customer inquiries

* Schedule and manage appointments

* Process payments and customer orders

* Keep customer orders organized and accurately documented

* Communicate with tailors and other team members regarding customer requests and deadlines

* Help maintain an organized, welcoming front-of-house area

* Assist with general day-to-day shop operations

* Identify opportunities to improve organization, customer experience, and workflow
